Thanks to all for posting their experiences on the website. Also to pathusa for the detailed description on the whole process.
This was my parents second trip to the Chennai consulate for visitor visa. They had been to the US 3 years back. Their Appt. date was April 8th . The consular officer asked my dad
1. from where he retired?
2. What his job responsibilities were?
3. How long they stayed here during their last visit?
And then he asked them to pay the fees ..He did not look at any of the documents and did not ask my mother any questions.
They received their passports on the 11th with a 10 year multiple entry visa.
