Hi,
I have got a B1 (6 months) expired. My company is asking me to get a B1 and this time i will get a 10 years. I am worried that it will be problematic when i go for my student visa.

I have got admission in 2 Univs and waiting to get some news on Funding and also some new from other univs.

Sshould i decline to go for a B1 visa interview.

First of all 1) You dont know that you will be issued a 10 yr visa simply b/c you had a 6 month visa earlier ( a presumption which is not solid) 2) The fact that you will be applying for a F1 later should not in any way prelude you from qualifying for a student visa if you are infact qualified, on the contrary it will supplement and increase your chances, b/c you could technically travel to US on a B1 and change to F1 when you get here, so relax and apply for a B1 if they ask you to.
