If you are talking in context with Green card , the name check may take many years in worst case or may be done quickly in best cases. No one knows the facts but there are many who has been waiting for name check done from FBI for copuple of years.

No not in context of green card .It is for h1b visa.can you let me know if it is different have you any idea about this kind of case.
