Hi,

Wanted to share my parents' experience :

Interview Date : Mar29 10.45 AM : Chennai

They reached the consulate by 10.00 AM.
Security check done and got in - Paid Courier DD and were asked to pay the Application DD, gave the documents for sorting and put in a consulate provided folder and got seated -

- They had booked a Tamil interview but the consular officer was sitting alone (no translator) - Father and Mother know English anyway.

4 Questions were asked and no documents looked at:

Questions based on DS-156 contents were asked:

1. Are you a native of Kerala ? ( as their birth places are Kerala)
Ans : Yes
2. Are you living in Chennai ? (they are living in Chennai)
Ans : Yes.
3. Who is living with you ?
Ans : Father responded Parents-In-law
4. Directed to my other - Is that your parents ?
Ans : Yes.

Were asked to pay the fee - courier awaited in 2 days.

Sigh of relief.

All the best to everyone. Actually there is no need to panic - All it takes is some practice with all possible questions no matter how trivial they are and to approcah with confidence.

Cheers.
