I have a question for you regarding 2nd POE. My in-laws got 1-year multiple entry visa on July 2004 and they came to US on the same month. They got 6-month stay on their I-94 (until Jan 26, 2005). I applied for my Mother -in- law's extention. My in-laws left on the 20th and On Jan 23 I received the denial of the extention.

I wanted to bring them to US in a week (with in 2 month from their depature date). I am just wondering whether the officer at POE going to allow her or not.

Is he going to ask her the reason for the extention and 2nd trip (any ideas to give a reasonable answer)?

What documents is she supposed to carry?

Did you see any similar cases and were they able to enter into US sucessfully?

Thanks in advance.

I dont see any problem, to re-enter again. A valid mutliple entry visa is enough for person to qulaify for /permit to enter into USA.
Since they left with their I94 limit so I dont any problem at POE. As far as their extension which you applied should not have any adverse affect since
a) they left the USA within their legal limit.
b) Just applying for extension doesnt make some one not-elgible to visit US again, no matter whter it was granted ot denied.

So I dont see any problem so take it easy...

Thanks a bunch for your quick reply. You logic is correct and it shouldn't be any problem.

I checked the threads before posting this message and I couldn't find any info. As you are a very senior member are you aware of any cases where they entered without any problem.
