Visitor visa extension...

My mother just came to USA a couple of weeks ago. Her initial plan was to stay for a month, but now it looks like she will stay longer. her visa is multiple-entry for 10 yrs.
In her i-94, the "valid till" field-which ideally should be the last day of her stay- shows "B1/B2" instead of a date. What does this mean ? Can i just extend her return ticket date and is the i-94 valid till then? if not, how long does the process of i-94 extension take?

On the I 94 look for a stamp by the immigration inspector and the date either hand written / stamped, it is highly unlikely that the inspector did not write the date until he/she admitted your mother into the country, also look at the stamp on het passport and the date there, once you find the date and wish to extend it then you need to fill out the extension, go to our website and under visitors visa look for extension process.
