I would like to sponsor my grandmother for visitor visa. For this purpose, is it sufficient to provide employment letter, bank statement, and inviitation letter?

Is it a must to provide salary info. and complete Form I-134, etc.? I have not done this in the past when my mother has visited? Is this a new requirement?

Lets understand the difference here, when you say you want to sponsor means you will be taking care of all the expenses and it work in most of the cases when the applicant may not be able to provide enoguh proof for the financial backings for their US travel and thats what consulate officer do look for.

IF the applicant has sufficient funds and can show the proof you dont have to be a sponsor and dont have to send those documents like I134 etc. An letter of invitation should be enough.
