H1 Stamping,Please guide

I have got H1 approval which starts from 1st october.How earliest I can go for stamping and which is the ideal time,i mean how many months or days before or anytime.Please clarify your feedback is appreciated.

You are eligible to apply for stamping immediately how ever please be informed you will NOT be allowed into USA 10 days before the actual 'start date' in your case the starting date will be mentioned as Oct. 1st, 2004.
