I have lost my Indian passport in USA. The consulate is asking for a police report for this incident. However, the police is refusing to issue a report mentioning that passport was lost, for legal reasons, saying that this rule has recently been agreed upon internationally.
Any idea of the new rule, or where I can get help regarding this?
