How important is the Tax return?

Hello:

I am reluctant to provide my last years' tax return as a supporting document for my parents visitor visa. This is their first visit and interview is in Feb. I have all the other documents - bank statement, W2s etc., just wanted to keep the tax retuns out of it due to some personal problems.

Should this be OK?

Yes, Tax return document is not must. A copy of W2 should be suffix alternative for it.

Dear Murali (and for others):
My parents got the Visa at Mumbai without any issues. The officer kept asking my father why he would want to return to India.. my father gave the usual script of property, family, etc. Not one document was touched. Just a casual chat and a quick one. And it was all good.
