iam planning to invite my parents to US in june/july,2005.how many months in advance should they take an appointment for the interview?

You should start looking for appointment dates as soon as possible. June/July may seem a long way off but appointment slots get taken very soon so you might not find a suitable slot later..
try to see if you can find something in March/April...

when booking an appointment slot online through the tt services what is the procedure to get an appointment on the same date for both of them as it asks to fill the details of each person separately?

Hi,
Once you choose the date and complete filling out the passport info ,contact info etc for one person,the sytem will ask you if there is any other person travelling in this group(upto 10 PP in one appt).You click yes and complete your Moms info too.

This essentially means same appt for both of them.Hope this helps!All the best!
