Request for Translator later?

Hi,

My parents are going for an interview on Feb 17th at Chennai. We booked this date via web and there we did not ask for a translator. But now, reading many experiences, we feel maybe we should have asked for a translator. My father can speak english quite well but I am worried if he can understand the American accent easily and whether this will cause any problems.

How difficult is to now change and request for a translator? Has anyone done this? Please let me know. Thanks.

This should not be big problem, communicate with TTS visa chennai office and they can accomodate your request.
Based on some posting on this forum In some cases applicant even asked at the time of interview and consulate provided them the trnaslater instantly.
