Passport copy

I am a U.S. citizen sponsoring my mother, should I send a copy of my entire U.S. passport? or just the page with my picture etc, please let me know, thankyou

To be on the safer side; it's best to send the entire copy....
when (and if) the consular officials look at the passport copy they like to flip thru the entire thing...I'm guessing to see how often you travel to India, where all you've been etc :rolleyes:
maybe you could fax them the rest of the pages?

I just became a US citizen in Sept'04, have not travelled anywhere on it as yet, but have travelled a lot on old, should I send a copy of my old Indian passport?? Thankyou

Hmm....now I really don't know if that is what you should do...

If there are enough days left till your mom's interview for you to mail them; then I think you should go ahead and mail copies of both passports..
most most likely, they'll not be required but then to be really safe there is no limit to the amount of paperwork you can send!

I am hoping somebody else on this forum who is a citizen or somebody with more information will be able to shed some more light on this...

I am also a recent citizen (Nov. 2004) and this part has confused me. I was worried if I send the Indian passport photostat copies, it might confuse them even more on why I am sending photostat copies of Indian passport when I have an American passprt (or an US Citizen).

Appreciate any responses from experts in this forum who have faced similar situations! Thanks.
