Regarding H4

hello,
my spouse's H1 visa has approved and waiting for stamping.my Q is can i get H4 visa immediately now and can i go along with him or is there any rules like i have to wait for 2 to 3 months.also,do i have to sumbit my spouse's pay slip or any other documents for getting H4 visa.

U must take appointment for personal i/v to be able to get H4 visa stamping.
in case ur spouse hasn't got the stamping, u can schedule a single appointment for ur spouses H1 and ur H4.

Please check visa-services.com for mumbai consulate and ttsvisas.com for chennai consulate.
U do not need to wait for taking the appt - all info on the appt process as well as the documents required is also mentioned on the specific consulate website and also the above websites. the current time for availability of an interview appointment at any of the consulates is about 1-1.5 mths.

For mumbai consulate, u need to fill separate forms and separate demand drafts for dependants; though under 14 applicants need not sign the ds 156 form.
U need original birth certifcate for each child.

Similar questions have been answered in this forum
H4 status is a derivative of prinicpal H1B.
Normally when principal h1 person changes employers, it does not affect h4 visa stamping.

Please check the respective consulate website for the required documentation for h4 , and make sure u have all the necessary docs for the stamping.
