I have taken the online appointment for my parents at Mumbai Consulate. Now we have to send the papers. My question is :

Do I have to send all the originals of the sponsor documents (e.g. Bank Letter, Birth Certificate, etc.) with the documents package?

If yes, should I tell them to make the notorized copy of all the documents to be carried with them at the interview?

Do we get back the Birth Certificate back from consulate?

Thanks in advance

For mumbai consulate , once you set online appointment you get a list of instrcutions stating what all you need to send.
No need to send any originals , all the originals are required at the time of interview.
Generally the docs you sent to VFS are :
Completed apllication forms, drafts for fee, copy of passport, and a printout of this appoitment scheduling doc .

Let me know if have questions.

Thanks for quick reply...

On the online appointment page it just says "Travelling to visit your Child: Additional Documents recommended: Child's status copy"

What does that mean?

I read through some forums, some people say to send it. I am confused.
