Hi guys,
My parents have applied for a visitor visa appointment. We got an appointment for mid March. Howver we wanted an earlier appointment, so I enliste myself for the'
'waitlist appointment' for a mid February date. In the waitlist Appointment confirmation page they have told us to fax the first and last page of the passport to the telephone no
91-80-51122684.
(it also says that without the pp copies they will not be able to process the request)
My father tried to fax yesterday, but it is going to the voice mail...
1) Is this a correct number ?
2) We are applying in delhi consulate..and the number starts with 80. I found out in the web that thats the STD code for Bangalore.? Is this okay.
3) Is faxing necessary? Does the above number work and is it correct.
Pls. do help. We really need our parents to reach here by first week of march, so a visa appointment by feb is a must!
Any other way in which we can get an earlier appointment..?

Thanks lion_viji for answering to my earlier query.

Hi GCwait,

The fax number works fine. I faxed my passport copies last week. Please try again. I also suggest that going in person to the TTservices office would be the best thing now, considering your urgency.
Good Luck!

Hi,
Thanks for the replies Murali and lion_viji. Actually my father called up the tts services regarding the waitlisting service in Delhi. But they said they dont know anything about the service
Yes, I'll tell them to go to TTS in person. they are also trying to fax. Do you know if we can apply directly in the Delhi consulate, if we go in person, like you can do in Mumbai consulate. What is the procedure for that..just go to the US embassy directly with your documents ??

You cant go to cosulate/embassy directly without a prior valid appointment. So you have to go thorugh TTS visa services apppointment
