It's pretty good; the seats are comfortable, teh food is good and the staff is friendly and helpful...
the transit in Kuwait is also pretty pleasant (plus it helps if you don't want to go thru the hassle of getting transit visas for Europe)...
...althought the Kuwait to USA stretch is kind of long for a non stop flight (12 hours or so) so you might want to think if you can sit for that long...
My in-laws flew this airline both ways and loved it!

Have a safe trip!

Well, like csingh says, it depends.

My wife flew DEL - KWI - JFK and then returned JFK - LHR - KWI - DEL last time around. Briefly:
1. The KWI - JFK sector is a *really* long flight, and she didn't like it too much.
2. Food was between "ugh" and "yuck", according to her.
3. They were pretty lenient with the extra luggage on the return leg, her hand baggage was nearly 7 kilos over the limit, but they offered to take it in check-in baggage for free (along with two suitcases, both of which too were slightly over the limit each).
4. Kuwait Airways goofed her boarding passes, gave her only 2 (1 each for JFK and KWI) - she asked whether she would have to change planes at LHR and was told "no.".
Well, she *did* have to change planes at LHR and there was a scene where she was asked to produce her boarding pass. Well, my wife said she gave the airline people a good scolding and demanded that they go call JFK and ask for her boarding pass if they wanted it. She got an apology and no more demands to produce the boarding pass.
5. The fare is very competive.
6. The telephone reps in JFK are very polite, formal, helpful, and efficient.

So thats the net summary of what I know about Kuwait Airways.
