My parents had an interview on 01/13/05 for visitor visa at Mumbai consulate. Officer has asked only two questions.
(1) Who lives in the US?
(2) What does he do?
Answers were
(1) My son
(2) He is a software consultant.
That’s it.... did not even look at the single document and visa application rejected under 214(b). I don't understand one thing. Without even asking a single question about social or financial ties or without even looking at a single document, how do they decide to refuse the visa under 214(b). Isn’t it a questionable process at consulate?
I am just thinking of asking my parents to reapply in next few days. Hopefully officer will ask few more questions before taking any decision.
Any advice appreciated
