Hello People,
I wanted to thank this forum for all the information posted which helped my wife and I to get our visas stamped successfully.
Mine was an OPT to H1b transfer case. I went to India this december to get married and had scheduled one appointment at the Chennai consulate to get our H1B and H4 visas stamped. We had an early morning (8:15) appointment and we were out by 9:10.
The process was very smooth and the consular officer asked me about 5-6 questions
He did not ask my wife any questions.
The questions he asked me were,
1)How many employees does your company have?
2)What does your company do?
3) Where did you graduate from?
4) When did you graduate?
5)How long have u been working for this company?
6) Show me your paystubs.
Go pay the fees.!!
The key is to be cool and confident.Try to dress up professionally coz it helps.
Wish you good luck guys. Its not as big a deal as it is made out to be if you have proper documentation.
