visitors getting grinder from india to US

Hi ,
My parents are coming to US during Jan end. I want them to get a Grinder for us. Is it ok if they carry that out side the luggage imean they are checking in 3 bags and one this grinder pack separately. If they carry this electronic item , do they face any hassle in US custom. Is it ok to carry that separately as fourt checking bag?

It should not be a problem...I know of a number of people who have brought over grinders/blenders from India...
tell your parents to pack it well, padding it with bubble wrap and check it in with their luggage. Preferably put it in a bag before checking it in...
