which bank to choose for NRI a/c

Hi all,

Im planning to open an NRI account in USA.But confused as to which bank should i choose..ICICI,CITIBANK etc??

Can anyone suggst some good options/personal experiences...

Also what would be the best way..opening the account in USA or opening the a/c in India??

SBI is good. I opened a NRE + NRO account with them, and I do not have any issues.

All are good. You can use SBI, HDFC bank or ICICI bank. Personally I prefer private banks. I have HDFC account.

What are the benefits of opening NRI accounts in case you donot plan to return back to India and you donot have close relatives there.
