Any feedback on the voice quality? I have a vonage unlimited long distance (US& Canada) plan and the few times I have used it to make calls to India (when my Reliance calling card doesn't have enough minutes), the voice quality has been very bad. People on the other end have hardly been able to hear me and often I'd get billed for a minute or so without the call having gone thru at all (they do promptly refund that but still...).
So I'm wondering if any one's used this world call plan...it sounds like a really good deal. If I had an idea of the quality, I'd get it in a heartbeat!

I just recently signed up for Vonage World Plan, and I am using it for last 5 days, and it works good. Moreover the call quality is far better than the phone cards. You have the options to change the bandwidth to save some, and still maintaining the call quality. You though have a 1 year contract to sign up. And the cancellation fees is around 39.99 I guess. The Phone Adapter comes free, along with the free activation. Monthly bill comes around 33 dollars, which is less than my current phone bill + Phone cards for India. I give a thumbs up after using this for 5 days. Customer service is good and friendly. And it is very easy to install. World Plan includes Landline and Mobile calls to India both unlimited.

people who calls or uses more than 600 minutes within 45 days is GOOD, but who uses less than 600 minutes in 45 days as like me Airtel is good,we can directly call from our cell, home any time, but for vonage both sides should be broadband minimu DSL i guess. if internet is OFF or swith off then we are useless.

Hi KangYu, under Vonage Worldplan you do not need to get broadband at both end. Let's see an example, for me in my previous Long Distance Phone Service, I was paying $39.99 + $7.99(Voicemail) + Tax, then I was using rebtel which I was paying 2.9 cents for every minute, so I used to spend at least $ 25 for the Phone Card.
So I was Spending around 75 bucks for all of them. But now I am getting all of these for only 33 bucks. I think this is great for saving money, and the call quality is good too. And now I do not have cut short my call to India, as the calls are unlimited.
And if the internet is off, then all your calls will be forwarded to your cell phone. And that service is free too. For me the internet is always on as I am using a wireless router to connect to internet.

Thanks for the feedback. I switched my plan to the world and US calls plan today. The voice quality is indeed really good, much better than it used to be.
I might single handedly run vonage into the ground with all my calls to India!! Woohoo!!:D

Okay, now I opted out of the world plan. The first few times I called India, the voice quality was good...lately, nobody can hear a word I saw after the first few sentences, breaks in the sound etc..
I'll be sticking with the reliance calling cards for a while..

I am still using the Vonage World Plan, and continues to call India. Call Quality is still good. Overall, I am happy at this point.
