Hello all,
My in-laws' VISA got rejected at Mumbai second time..."Potential Immigrants.." since my sis-in-law is married and my hubby is the only son...MIL is homemaker & FIL retired a couple of years ago...
We had tried last time in October'08 and then after rejection under 214b we waited and reapplied last month...They had their interview a day before and were asked only a couple of questions..no docs seen this time either..
VO: Who stays in the US? Whom are you visiting..
FIL gave necessary details about us..
VO: How long do you plan to stay?
FIL: say around 3 months max...
VO: Sorry , we can't grant you VISA at this time...
Done.
Following are the queries I have:
Does the earlier rejection matter so much that VO is kinda influenced by that ..?? We are planning to reapply in another 10-15 days time..What are the chances that it might work this time? Or is it sheer luck?? (I agree there is no much room for "changed circumstances" for us..)
If we plan to have SEPERATE VISA INTERVIEWS FOR THEM, will the VO consider? I mean.. We'll get their VISAs done separately and after stamping have them travel together... Its my husband who is going to sponser them... so probably in I-134 we have to mention that???? Like, my MIL will attend first and after 10-15 days my FIL will appear for his interview...Will the VO know that we are trying to fool them ;)) ??
Also, is it better that they travel separately? (10-15 days gap...Is it enough??)
Actually, I am expecting and due in October.. Of course we are not disclosing this fact as the primary reason of their visit.. But, we need to plan accordingly because of the time crunch..Else, we are planning to try for my Mom's VISA.. So just wanted to know the chances & possible workarounds....
Thanks in advance...
