My visa expires in oct, and i'm planning to go back to US, will i be able to get an extension? its a tourist visa.

Tourist visas are very rarely extended. You may have to apply for a new visa.

You can enterUSA even on the last day of the expiry of your visiting visa. Your stay in USA is determined at POE the date given in I 94 form.
After your visit to USA, you can apply for a new visa.

You need to understand the difference between a visa and I-94 authorized stay to prevent problems in the future.
