Urgent!!! Need help get tourist visa

I'm a dentist in India. I wish to go to USA to appear for NBD exam held in USA. My Grand uncle stays in US. They are ready to sponsor me,
Query i ve is
1. Shall i disclose to VO that I'm going to appear for NBD exam or simply tourism purpose.
2. Which is better option, self sponsoring me or getting sponsored by my Grand uncle?
3. What all possible documents u ppl can suggest me to gather before an interview. I've filed my Tax returns, what other documents shall i collect

Go with the facts. Do not misrepresent any information. That may haunt you in future.

Either way is OK as long as your intention is to come back.
