My Mother had her Visa appointment in Kolkata, and the VO did not even look a single paper that I sent to her, and approved a 1-year B2 Visa. The last time she came to USA, she also got a one year visa. I do not know, why they are not giving her a 10-years visa stamp. She did not over-stay in her last visit.
My Younger Brother had a Visa appointment at Delhi, and VO did not even bother to look a single document sent by me, and approved a 10-year Multiple Entry B1 and B2 Visa. The interesting part is that I sponsored my Brother to visit us for some weeks on a B2 Visa, but the VO gave him both B1 and B2 Visa. The decisive factor for B1 may be because my brother works in a MNC company in Delhi, whose head office is in USA. But his employer did not sponsor for a B1 Visa. But he is Lucky to get both B1 and B2 together. And the main factor I was worried, because he was a bachelor. But thanks God, everything went so smooth.
