On July 03, 2009, we landed in Dallas DFW airport and the IO gave us a stay of 6 months and stamped the departure date as January 02,2009 instead of 2010.
I noticed the mistake only today when I was trying to take xerox copy of the I 94 forms.
We visited the CBP Office and contacted deferred Inspection Section and explained the mistake.
The officer there wrote himself new departure records and stamped the correct dates and given the forms.
Why I am posting this as a new thread is to advise parents to check the I 94 forms before leaving the counter
If not, if any mistake is found at a latter stage with in a week's time, they should contact CBP Office (Deferred Inspection Section)
Best Of luck
