Hi,
I applied for my mother's visitor visa appointment online from here in USA.
Since I did not have enough time before the interview date to sign and send the DS156 form, I selected NO for ques 39:
39. Was this Application Prepared by Another Person on Your Behalf? Yes No
(If answer is YES, then have that person complete item 40.)
Now my agent back in India says that if the appointment was booked from USA, the form generates a different number and the people at the consulate can figure out that we are lying by saying that my mom actually filled the document herself.
Does anyone have a similar experience where you filled up DS-156 for your parents and did not select YES for ques 39. Please share your experience.
