yo man wat u doing? ur trying to average the most posts per day or someting, i am still stuck at 3 and u have already jumped to more than 5. alright ur on, its war now.
just kiddin, its good to have somebody eagerly posting here. cause there r only bout 2-3 ppl who do so. everybody else just reads and reads, i guess no indian wants to help another indian. do u know the reason behind this? y is ther so much competition between us desis?
one more thing, wat car do u drive? honda toyota? just curious thats all. u might have seen the thread bout 'y desis go for toyota corolla' post ur thoughts there too.

Hey buddy,

I think it's important to help other desis. I think even if everyone who reads here spends just 10/15 mins. a day to respond would be good.

Well, the car which I drive is "Infinity FX 35"... not Toyota corolla or Honda :) so that might come as a surprise.

Following are the reasons that I think for desis who buys Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic:
1. Re-sell value is good. Lots of desis first come here on H1 visa, so they think they might have to leave US, if GC doesn’t goes through. So having car with good resale value is good :)

2. To brag India friends and relatives on the phone and through e-mail. Toyota and Honda has big status symbol in India. Also Mercedes and BMW has... but very few Indians on H1B visa will buy these cars. :) Almost no-one on H1B

3. Childhood/College dream to buy a Honda or Toyota.

4. Very robust engine. So no need to open front bonet.

5. These brand new cars don’t need any maintenance.
