EAD permit on L2 visa

I want to apply for my wife's EAD as she came to usa as my dependent on L2 visa. I want to check that what would be the validity of her EAD provided my L1 expires in December 2009 ? Although my company is applying for my L1 visa extension, do I had to renew her EAD once my extension application is approved ?

L2 - EAD will be valid up to principal applicant's L1 status. You have already stated that your L1 is valid up to December 2009. Therefore you have to renew your spouse EAD, once you get your L1 extension approval.
