visitor visa - father's assets is valid for mother too ?

Hi, my mother has an appointment for visitor visa in chennai in Dec. We have a house and property in my father's name.. can this be shown as my mother's assets ? she doesnot have any property in her own name.. Please advise if this will be a problem..
