Hello,
I am presenting to you my scenario and would need some guidance on the same. My husband and I have planned to travel to the US. The actual reason is that my daughter is in the family way. She has been there in US for almost 8 months now and has gone there on deputation. Both my daughter and son-in-law have gone there on deputation from an MNC in April and July 2004 respectively. I have my sister-in-law(my husband's sister) and family also there who have been there for almost 30 years now.
They said that they would sponsor us. Now do you see any problem if they sponsor us , instead of my daughter. Should we mention that our daughter is also in US or, can we avoid that, because won't the consulate ask, why your daughter did not sponsor? And if mentioned, are the chances of rejection high as my daughter is in US only for a short period(just 8 months now). Murali and others, please suggest the best solution what I can opt for.
We have an appointment date in february at the Chennai consulate and we do not want to take any chance of rejection, because after that, there won't be much time left before the delivery, and getting dates these days is very tough.
Regards,
Janaki
