My Father didnt get the visitor Visa

At Kolkota consulate My mom dad and my wife appered for visa interview on 30 march 2009 My Wife and My Mom has granted the visa but my Father did not. My father is retired and of age 70 he went with all documents but VO said they have some limitation so the can not issue the visa at this time, But he asked him to fill one form ( which was askign all family details) and they will call them some time latter, when My father asked when is it likely that he will get any call then VO said may be a week a month or two month.

IS there any hope that he would be called ??

Dear Efan,

This is disappointing for sure. However I am sure there must be some reason for this , such cases often happens when -
- Consulate officer is not satisfy with the answers a particular applicant provided.

- Any suspicious document proof, or incorrect information.
- Any medical reasons.
- Shown Intention to not coming back after the trip..

I would say, do what officer asked to do, it seems they want to verify certain information that the reason they have asked that information, provide correct and complete information in timely manner and pray ..I dont see any reason for not approval if the case is genuine.
