Visitor Visa @ Yellow form

Hi All,
Hope you are doing great!

My dad had interview at mumbai on 18th march 2009 for visitor visa. they got yellow form it mention consulate need further process and will contact you then you have to submit passport, yellow form and email copy at vfs.

Question:
When i expect response from consulate?

Hi Similar things happend with my father at Kolkota consulate.
My mom and wife has been gratned visa but my father did not. They said they have some limitation and can not give visa to him at the moment, But they asked to fill one form (which was askign several details about the family) and said they will contact him in a week or month or two month.

Has any one come across with similar case ? and do they really call after some time? Is there any chance that my father will be called for the visa?

Dear Pradip,

This is called administrative process, There is no one answer to this question..WHEN ? Well it takes it own time, basically consulate wants to verify certain information. From your side provide all and correct information in timley manner once they receive it they will do whatever it takes for them to verify and process that information, if you are lucky you can get the answer within a week OR it may take several weeks. One thing is sure that they do work on these and you will hear from them..it is just the matter of time that epends case by case basis.
