Validity of H1 after a pink slip

Q1] What is the validity period of a H1 visa holder, after his/her employer gives a pink slip & but don't revoke H1 visa?

Q2] If H1 visa is revoked by the employer, so can he/she still legal to stay back in USA for 1-2 months(with no H1 petition(s)) and actively lookout for a company who can sponsor a H1 Visa?

usually u have 4-6 weeks to find a another H1 job

u cannot stay, u have 10 days to leave
