Hi
My parents were given 1 year multiple entry visa to the US valid till June of 2005.
They visited me this year and stayed for about 4 months. I want them to visit again next year in June. Would their stay in the US be restricted to less than 6 months since they have been in the country less than a year ago.

Or would it be better for them to wait till visa expires- apply for a new visa and enter the country and thereby be assured of getting a 6 months stay at the port of entry.

Would be really grateful if some one with similar experience could provide some guidance.

Thanks

As a basic rule, multiple entry visa stamp is good enough for the visa holder to enter to USA as many timesas they want with in the expiry of the visa.
So practically , they are good to visit again. I94 dates are up the officer how and what he thinks and assess the applicant situation, genrally it is 6 months no matter the visa stamp lenght and when was the last visit etc.
So depedns on you whether you want them to take another visa or use the same visa.
One thing is sure that if they will be visiting again in future more then better to take new visa ..
