Visitor Visa Cancel and Rebooking Dates....

Gals/Guys,
Hope everyone doing fine. I got date for my family (visitor visa, India) on April 8th 2009. I am looking for another date, let’s say for example April 20th. If I get April 20th date available, and I cancel the current April 8th date, do I have to fill all the DS-156 forms again or do they automatically get reflected with new date? I have fear of losing the date I already posses if I cancel it as the time taking to fill the forms DS-156 is more and by the time I am done filling the forms, the dates might get booked.

Anyone in the similar situation , please throw some light on this.

Once you cancel the date already booked, all your details will be deleted from the system and you have to start filling afresh. And the date you have seen available before you start, may be gone by the time you complete all the forms. So it would be good if you go with the date you already have unless the circumstances require you to reschedule.
