visa consulate location

where do i get the option to select the visa consulate location...
as i am trying to take appointment for telugu language,if i give the state of residence as andhra pradesh it doesnt show up the interview dates..it displays as pls check back after 24hrs...its happening from past 4 days...
if i give the state of residence as karnataka/tamil it shows me the available appt dates in telugu..as my mom's mother tongue is kannada can i proceed with the state of residence as karnataka??

can somebody help me out in this...?

You have to choose the place where she is living for the preceding 6 months of the interview date. Please keep trying for the dates and hopefully you will get it.
