H1 transfer

Hi,

My H1 is transfered from company A to company B two months back (approved and got I 797). My I-94 is valid till sep ' 2010. I've a couple of questions now

1) If I am going to india for a visit, should I have to get a new stamping in India?

2) if I have to apply H4 for my wife, do I need to get the stamping done or is the new I 797 enough?

if the visa stamp in ur p/p has expired then yes.

usually new I797 shud be enough. but if u r going for H1 stamping then it makes sense to take ur wife along with u for H4 stamping too.
