H4 visa (marriage certificate related question)

Hi,

I am getting married in January and would like to apply for H4 visa for my spouse so that she can accompany me to the US on my return. One of the requirements for getting online visa appointment is to send a copy of marriage certificate.

Our marriage certificate won't be made until January. Does anyone know whether it is okay to not send the marriage certificate as a part of the appointment application package? It will definitely be a part of the documents at the day of the appointment.

Please let me know if anyone has dealt with similar situation.

which consulate is this ?
I know for sure that for Mumbai consulate you send copy of few documents in 30 days advance, and for rest consulates( where TTS applicable) you go with all the documents at the time of interview.
However it should be OK, if you have the original marriage certificate at the time of interview.
