Hi,

I have got my h1b stamped in india by Nov 2, 2004. I am planning to enter united states by november 15th, 2004. Do any one know what all documents we need to take with us to show in the port of entry.

I got my h1b with a consulting company and they give a offer letter asking me to join any date in october 2004. Since i did not get an appointment in the US consulate until nov 2, i could not make up to the united states by the month of October.

Now my question is will the immigration officer will ask "why am i entering in november 2004 instead of October 2004 as mentioned in my offer letter" and will it create any problem?

Do any one have any idea. Any kind of reply is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Lexs

That should not be a problem at all. I know someone who entered recently under similar situation and he was not asked anything. However, I would always recommend to have

-your petition
-degree certificates
-your company's information
-approval notice
-documents that establish your background

with you just in case.

-Not a legal advice
