SSN on WAC

Hi

I came to US on H4 and filed for H1 couple of months ago

I was wondering if i am elligible to apply for an SSN, with just the WAC number.
I am currently based in California

hi!

No idea what a WAC number is but I'm guessing you don't have your "actual documents" in hand yet...
I've read on the SSN form and on their website that to apply for one, you need to show proof your your status and receipts showing you applied for a working status will not suffice....

You need actual approval notice to apply for the SSN.
