is stamping necessary after 485 get approved?

Hello,

I just got my 485 approved.(Good news)
and the troubling news is that I am travelling to India this weekend and I come to know that after 485 get approved, AP is invalid. You must have stamp on your passport to travel. How much true is this? I do also have valid H1B stamped and looks like this also going to be invalid. The problem now is I have very less time to get it stamped. I am in Atlanta.
What are my options at this time? Is my only option is to cancel my India trip (tickets etc :mad: ) if I didn't get my passport stamped.

Better to have 551 Stamp in your passport.
It is very quick take an online appitment using InfoPass facility to any of the nearest USCIS office and get the stamping done.
I am sure you will be in and out in max 15 min for this stamping...
