Visitors Tax Filing Details

Hello,

I have question on Visitors visiting US .

When i file my taxes last time i included my parents for thier 6 months stay in US.CPA applied ITIN ang got refund also.

I just want to know that is this legal to include visitors in Tax filing.
If this is legal how many days visitors need to stay in US for eligibility to fill W7 form.

Most visitors do not qualify as dependents for tax filing. If they are your dependents, they could not qualify for B2 visa. They must file US taxes if their WORLD WIDE income exceeds a minimum. It is likely that you have misapplied the US tax code if you claim them as your dependents. This will cause great problems if you file for a green card.
