Taking Dates for Interview in Gujarati

Hi All,

I am planning to call my parents on Visitor visa to USA and have couple of questions. First is my parents are not confident enough to give interview in english and would like to give in Gujarati. So, what is the procedure to get date for an interview in Gujarati at Mumbai consulate? Their nearest VFS center is Ahmedabad. Besides if my parents get visa this year but can not come here to USA for next year or year & a half for some reason than is that going to put their visa in Jeopardy?

Getting regional language interview slot is most difficult but you can keep on trying till you get a date for appointment.
Once they receive the visitor visa, they can travel to USA till the last date mentioned in the visitor visa.
