Is it possible to change status from b1 to h1b without exit

I am in US on b1 visa, also have h1B too, is it possible to chnage status with out exit from us? if not ..

Is it possible to get canada visa and goto canada and come back from canada on h1b is this possible ?

Actually am planning to apply for SSN and go back to india, search project from there and then come back to india will this work out ?

If you have an H1B visa, you already have an employer. Why do you think that you need to find a project? This is only necessary if your employer is a fraud and did not have an opening available for you.

You can do a COS; if it is approved with an I-94, you may begin work without exiting.

I want to know if i goto canada will they take my I-94 , which is on B1 or not ? is there any problems, if i come from canada on h1b...
