Hi ,

I have issue.. with the names on the passport and Approval Notice

on Passport : Eligepally Narayanmurthy Rakesh
On Approval Notice : Eligepally Narayanmurthy Rak

Issue : Last 3 letters are deleted (esh)

My employer raised a request for the amended petetion 2 weeks back. I also have the request number.

I heard from employer that it may be late to receive the amended petetion and not sure when the newly amended approval notice would come.

Shall i go ahead for stamping with the current approval notice . Will it be a cause of rejection of H1B?

Please suggest..and help me ...
Thanks a million in advance for all of you

Regards
Mumbai Boy

Consulate officer will be very kean in checking the documents that they will see whether the name in passport and the H-1B process application has the same name and the same details.

Therefore please ask your employer to file I-129 to file an amendment application [ there is clause in form I-129 form for amendment petition] stating the correction to be carried out regarding the benefriciary's name mistake.

Further USCIS has a mandatory rule that if there is any change after the approval of H-1B , then the sponsored employer has to file the I-129 application for amendment. USCIS will look into the amendment petition and then it will issue new approval notice with all details of amendment.

You will get amendment approval notice within 15 days from the date of receipt of the notice if your employer files the case under premium process.

Therefore please do the amendment process immediately.
