While I came to USA I have opened a Secured Credit Card since I did not have enough credit scores and this credit card has annual fee of 50$.
Recently I got a un-secured credit card with no annual fee. So I prefer to close my secured credit card...
closing a secured credit card will cause any impact on my credit-history?

No, nothing happens.
Close ur secure card and enjoy the other card.

Actually, if you close your secured cc account u loose credit points and a secured cc is way better than an unsecured cc generally the unsecured ones have hidden fees and variable apr. in todays economy preferably go with a low cc limit standard interest rate cc in which the monthly minimm can be set up to be deducted from ur bank account. a secured cc helps in building a better credit history. and DONOT go with Providian - personal experience they are one of the worst.
hope this helps.
ps: no legal/financial advise

yes, closing a CC effects ur credit score, it comes down. However, once u start using the unsecured CC and make proper payments on it, then your Credit score will be back on track.
