H1 and B1 together

Hi

I have valid H1 and B1 visa in passport. First I have got B1 stamped and it is valid for 10 years. Now recently I have H1 stamped from another company. But I still haven't resigned yet from my current company and joined the company which my H1 belongs.
But I have an urgent requirement that my current company is asking me to travel to US for 1 or 2 weeks on B1 Visa. But I am worried what will happen to my H1 Visa.
Is it possible I can travel to US on B1 with also valid H1 in my passport. I am planning to resign current company in Oct 08 and go to US on H1.

So My question to all our experts , will it possible to travel on B1 even if you have H1. In this case if I travel on B1 will my H1 is still valid?

please help to get rid of this confusion....

Traveling on B1 will NOT affect H1. Similary traveling on H1 will not affect B1.
At POE you should clearly mention your purpose of visit and on which visa you are entering US.

Make sure that the I 94 issued to you at POE in US (arrival record) containing
the correct visa type i.e if you are entering US for business then the I 94 should mention B1.
