Visa app. for in-laws

Hi,
I am sending docx for in-law's sponsoring. I am also taking an interview so they both attend at the same time. Question is do they have to keep their sets of documents seperate like they were two seperate applications going one after another?

Better to keep two sets of photo copies of all the documents with them. If the VFS insist for separate sets, this can become handy else one set should be OK.
